Telemark Boots

  A word about boots; Three leading boot brands, Scarpa, Garmont and Crispi have thermal liners which need to be fitted at a shop. Boot sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. We offer free fitting at our store with the purchase of our boot. You can mail order a boot from us, but it is a good idea to call or e-mail us to be certain the boot is the right size. Most people will think the boot that feels too small out of the box, before molding, is not the right size, but after molding, it fits great. We generally look for about 3/4 of an inch behind the heel with the skier’s foot in the shell only; more than that and the boot is too big. I have been fitting boots for years and have a pretty good feel for it, but fitting in person is best. You can ski the boots unformed as long as they fit correctly.

We understand that buying boots via mail order can be difficult; however, if you let me walk you through it, I believe we can get your size right. Boots may be returned unused and in new condition within two weeks of your purchase.
